Established in 1928
The Club was first started in 1928 by a small group of fanciers to promote a better understanding of the breed.
In 1954, the club became incorporated and was the first GSD club in Washington State to be recognized by AKC. The objects of the Club are to foster and promote the study, ownership, exhibiting, training and breeding of German Shepherd Dogs in accordance with the Official Breed Standard adopted by the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, Inc, and according to American Kennel Club rules.
The present membership consists of licensed judges, handlers breeders, hobbyists and students of the breed. Any person interested in the above objects of the Club is eligible for membership whether or not he or she owns a German Shepherd Dog.
