Amanda and Fritz were called, once again, for another VIP visit to the Warrior Transition Battalion on Fort Lewis. The VIP was the Secretary of the Army, Mr. Pete Geren. Mr. Geren had a lot of questions for Amanda about the benefits of therapy dogs for the soldiers. He was also interested in the other places that Fritz visits. Mr. Geren really enjoyed meeting with Amanda and petting Fritz.
The Secretary's visit was featured in "The News Tribune" and on KIRO7. Fritz was mentioned in the article and was shown on the news.
Kerry Southern's "Rainee" Can/Int'l Ch Kohlein's Southern Rain HIC HCT went Winners bitch and best of winners to minor out. She has 12 points now and only needs one major to get her championship.
Lynn Harbin's Camelot NW'S Five Card Studd "Ace" took Winners Dog and Best of Winners on saturday in Monroe making 8 total points with one major.
Juanita Williamson's '007' (Pierce) recieved his OFA certificates today. Good hips and normal elbows. YEAH!
Lynn Harbin's Camelot NW'S Five Card Studd "Ace" took Winners Dog and Best of Winners on Thursday the 30th and Friday the 31st .On Saturday he got Winners dog and best of breed on Saturday the 1st. Which gave him his Canadian Champion at Tradex Canada.
Kerry Southern's "Rainee" Can/Int'l Ch Kohlein's Southern Rain HIC HCT went to Tradex and on Friday went Best of Breed and 4th in Group and Best Opposite Sex on Saturday.
Amanda and Fritz entered the Halloween costume contest at Madigan and were tied for First Place. They will have their picture along with the other winners in the Madigan newspaper.
Amanda, Fritz and Greta received a First Place win for the best costume. They were awarded a really nice trophy, ribbon and a beautiful gift basket full of goodies. Amanda was Cruella Di Vil while Fritz and Greta were Dalmations.
Sally & Ray Bazzell's Can/Int'l CH. Haney's I Believe In Love aka Mila at the Longview-Kelso KC shows went Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and BEST OF BREED over a very nice bitch special, then at Gig Harbor KC shows Mila went Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, all breeder/owner/handled.
Sally & Ray Bazzell's Int'l CH. Haney's Sweet Victory, RN, HC, TC, CGC aka Zefer (AKC Ptd) went to the Fraiser Valley KC shows in Canada where He was breeder/owner/handled to Winners dog to become a Canadian Champion.
Sally & Ray Bazzell's Haney's Mystical Dreams, HC went to the Fraiser Valley KC shows in Canada she was breeder/owner/handled to Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Opp. Sex over a very nice Bitch special for 3 pts. Then she went 3rd in a quality filled Sweepstakes class.
Bob Butterfields' Cathlin's Rocky Raider HXA's HSA's JHD CGC OFA/CHIC earned his International Championship at the Enumclaw show. Thanks to the expert handling by Jim Hall.
Jim Hall and Karen Weidenbener finished Sassy's International Championship.

Helen Word and Donna Gonzalez' Fircrest Heart of Gold Sunrise "JD" earned both his HIC and HCT on September 13th, 2008 at the AHBA Herding Instinct Test.
Scott and Amanda Hackbarth's UKC Ch. Fritz Von Hackbarth TC, CGC, JHD, PT, STDd, TDIAOV, CDX was a featured story in the August issue of Front and Finish magazine. The story was about obedience and the therapy dog. The story was written by Dalene McIntire.

At Gig Harbor Kennel Club in Shelton Wa. on September 20th & 21st 2008.
Scott and Amanda Hackbarth's UKC Ch. Fritz Von Hackbarth CGC, TC, JHD, PT, STDd, TDIAOV, CDX finished with a fourth place win with a score of 181. At Gig Harbor Kennel Club Obedience Trial on September 21, 2008.

Ashley Hilsman's Zander von Schraderhaus, "Kaiser" earned his 3rd novice obedience leg to finish his CD today! He's just shy of 10 months old, and was in the ribbons each time- 2 first placements and a 2nd. At Sammamish Kennel Club on 8/24/08.
Juanita Williamson's Am/Can/Int Ch. J.J.s Dream On V Hallmark PT,T finished his Championship in fine style under a GSD Person. Most of his pts came from puppy class or BBE. At Bell Vernon Kennel Ass. on June 28th, 2008.

Kerry Southern's Kohlein's Southern Rain went to Canada and went Winners bitch, Best of Winners, Best of Breed and 1st in Group to finish her Canadian Championship in Campbell River on August 2, 2008. On the same circuit she goes BOB to make 9 total Best of Breeds, 3 Group 1s, and 2 Group 3s. In 9 days she makes the Best Dogs of Canada List at #55 and #9 Best GSD in Canada.
